Exploring the Cu Chi Tunnels

Our first stop is the Cu Chi Tunnels, an expansive underground network utilized by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. You’ll be taken through the narrow tunnels by our expert guide, learning about the soldiers’ daily lives who lived and fought here. You’ll see examples of the traps used by the Viet Cong and discover the history and significance of the Cu Chi Tunnels.

Journey to the Mekong Delta

After the Cu Chi Tunnels, we’ll head to the Mekong Delta, also known as the “rice bowl” of Vietnam. You’ll take a motorboat ride along the Mekong River, where you’ll see the daily life of the people who live along the riverbank. You’ll even have the chance to row a traditional wooden boat through the canals and streams of the Delta.

During the tour, we’ll visit a coconut candy factory and a bee farm where you can taste honey tea. You’ll also have the chance to listen to traditional Vietnamese folk music and taste tropical fruit in a fruit garden. And of course, you’ll indulge in delicious Vietnamese cuisine during lunch.

Mekong Delta Full Day Trip – Small Group Tour – My Tho & Ben Tre

7:30 – 7:45 – We’ll pick you up at your Ho Chi Minh City hotel in the early morning, and you’ll travel with your English-speaking guide to the Cu Chi tunnels. The drive is around 60 km.

At Cu Chi, you’ll be shown a documentary film about the tunnels and learn how the locals made bamboo traps, rice paper, and rice wine. You’ll then have the opportunity to explore the web of underground tunnels dug by Vietnamese resistance fighters.

After exploring the tunnels, we’ll drive to My Tho. This is one of the provinces that comprise the Mekong Delta area. We’ll cruise by boat along the upper Mekong through a region with islands named after 4 animals that appear in Buddhist writings – Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. On this part of the tour, you’ll observe some of the activities of regional Vietnamese daily life and appreciate how life here depends on the River.

We’ll then take you on a trip by rowboat along the small waterways. You’ll see the agricultural richness of the delta region in its fruit orchards, coconut groves, and bee-keeping farms. We’ll stop so you can enjoy honey tea, seasonal fruit, fresh coconut candy, and southern Vietnamese folk music.

At the end of our tour, we’ll drive back to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel at around 19:00.

CANCELLATIOIN POLICY

Cancellation Policy for Deposited Tours:
a. If you decide to cancel your booking, your deposit will be non-refundable.
b. In case you fail to show up for the tour on the day of the activity, your deposit will be forfeited.

Cancellation Policy for Fully Charged Tours:
a. If you cancel your booking at least 48 hours before the activity start time, you will receive a full refund.
b. If you cancel your booking less than 48 hours before the activity start time or do not show up, you will not be eligible for any refund.
c. In the event of a flight delay, food poisoning, or sickness that prevents you from attending the tour, we can reschedule your activity start date for an additional fee of 50% of the total tour cost.
d. Refunds will be issued using the same payment method. For credit cards charged on a monthly basis, the refund will be credited at the end of the current billing period. The exact timing of the refund depends on the credit card agreement. For bank transfers, refunds will be processed within seven business days.
