Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta One Day – Private Tour

Private Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta One Day Tour is the best option to avoid the crowded touristy bus and the expensive Limo Tour. We will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel for all districts.

Because of the seemingly unending rice fields, the Mekong Delta is known as “Vietnam’s rice bowl.” You’ll see buildings and markets floating down the river in this water world. Meeting point and departure time will be arranged according to your preference.

If you’re interested in the history of the Vietnam War or want to go on a day trip not too far from Ho Chi Minh City, this tour is perfect for you. The tour takes you to two major tourist destinations: Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta.

During the Vietnam War, the Cu Chi Tunnels, also known as the “iron triangle,” served as a military base for resistance against US forces. The tunnels are a network of underground passages, and the area was once destroyed by bombing and mines. Despite this, it still boasts legendary historical structures and showcases the unique culture of the Vietnamese.

The Mekong Delta is famous for being the “rice bowl” of Vietnam, with seemingly endless fields of rice. The area also offers a water world with floating houses and markets along the river, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a closer connection with nature and a chance to meet the hospitable people of this region.

The tour begins at 7:30 AM when our guide picks you up from your hotel in a minivan, which will take you to the Cu Chi Tunnels for an hour and a half.

As you travel through the peaceful rural rice paddy scenery, you’ll see ducks and water buffalos swimming in the rivers alongside the road. It’s hard to imagine the destruction, damage, and defoliation caused by bombing and mines when Cu Chi was “A Free Target Zone.” However, the remnants of the fierce battleground are still evident in Cu Chi. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to fire an AK-47, you’ll have the chance to find out during your visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels.

In the afternoon, we will depart from Cu Chi to My Tho City for a two-hour car ride. On the way to My Tho, we will stop at a restaurant for lunch.

Once you arrive in My Tho City, a boat will take you to a small canal where you can escape from the busy town. The boat cruise through the coconut tree canal takes you to a coconut island in Ben Tre. You’ll disembark and take a walk around the village. You’ll also stop at a local family’s house to enjoy tropical fruit, taste honey tea and wine, and listen to traditional Vietnamese music performed by the villagers.

As you continue walking on the village’s road, you’ll see a coconut candy shop and learn how to make candy. You can also see some handicrafts made from coconut trees. Take a walk through the village and see the many kinds of fruits, flowers, trees, and local houses of the Mekong Delta. Take your time to take some nice photos and enjoy the natural scenery.

At 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM, we’ll return to Ho Chi Minh City. The tour ends at your hotel at around 7:00 PM.
